AIANY 2015 HERITAGE BALL AWARDS - DAVID ROCKWELL

This is one of four videos in our annual honoree series for the AIANY Heritage Ball. This film honors David Rockwell, founder and Principal of Rockwell Group, a 250-person, award winning, cross disciniplinary architecture and design practice based in New York City with satellite offices in Madrid and Shanghai. Rockwell's global influence ranges from restaurants to hotels, and playgrounds to schools. Recent projects include the restaurant Nobu Doha in Qatar, the TED Theater in Vancouver, two imagination playgrounds in Brooklyn and Manhattan, W Hotels in Singapore, Paris, and New York, and the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Rockwell is also heavily involved in set design, often for Broadway plays and musicals. Past projects include Hairspray, Kinky Boots, Catch Me If You Can, The Rocky Horror Show, and the 81st and 82nd Academy Awards.
