STRAIGHT TALK - NEADS

This was a very rewarding project to work on and a nice change of pace from a lot of the work we normally do. It was our second time working with the Propane Education & Resource Council (PERC), and it was an incredible experience. This time around, PERC supplied propane-based heating to NEADS (Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans), an organization that provides service and hearing dogs to people all over the country. Their training facility requires their clients to stay on-site for two weeks in order to adjust to their new companions. Due to the lack of natural gas that is available in this part of rural Princeton, Massachusetts, the organization relied on a propane-fueled furnace and water heater for the housing portion of the facility. The new system is increeibly efficient, reliable, and is expected to return a 30-40% savings.
