ARBUCKLE'S NEW ARCHITECTURE REEL
Video Credit: Arbuckle Industries
Thanks to new clients, diverse projects and state-of-the-art camera gear, we've had a lot of opportunities over the past year to push the boundaries of architectural videography.
41 COOPER SQUARE
The folks at Coopr Union asked us to create a "virtual tour" for their new building in the East Village. The LEED-Platinum Certified, nine-story building was designed by Thom Mayne, principal of Morphosis. It was a filmmaker's dream to explore all the unique angles, long beams and skylights. Plus, we took full advantage of some of our new gear, namely the 7-foot dolly and DJI Ronin 3-Axis gimbal.
BROOKFIELD PLACE
The Lab at Rockwell Group's holiday light installation at Brookfield Place was a unique challenge. Hanging from the ceiling of the two-story shopping center, we were able to capture the dynamic light shows from a myriad of positions. We again busted out the dolly and gimbal to add some fluidity and range to the shots. Watch the full video here.
SOUTH STREET SEAPORT
We got gritty down at the seaport downtown to film the new retail concept store designed by the Howard Hughes Corporation and built by Guild. Sparks flew, metal was bent, wood was cut and saws buzzed. We were really able to capture and express the revitalization that the historic area is experiencing. Watch the full video here.
CALIFORNIA MEMORIAL STADIUM
The University of California, Berkeley asked us to film their historic football stadium post-renovation. We combined our tried and true cinematography with sleek, energetic editing. We filmed this on a beautiful, sunny day and all the colors really came through. Watch the full video here.
RYERSON UNIVERSITY
Exposed concrete and whimsical colors run throughout the spaces of the Ryerson University Student Learning Center, designed by Snøhetta and Zeidler Partnership Architects. We visited the campus to see how the architects delivered the client’s need for a casual, functional study space. Watch the full video here.
Over the past year, we've really broadened the scope and vision of our videography. Amazing new cameras like the Sony a7S II, FS5 and FS7 allow us even more flexibility to capture every angle and movement in the best possible light. We're looking forward to another year of growth and development and can't wait to share the excitement with you!
